Assessment of the Thermo-Hydraulic Efficiency of an Indoor-Designed Jet Impingement Solar Thermal Collector Roughened with Single Discrete Arc-Shaped Ribs

This study illustrates the impact of single discrete arc-shaped ribs (SDASR)-type artificial roughness on performance a jet impingement solar thermal collector (JISTC). The parametric variations SDASR Nusselt number (Nusdr), friction factor (fsdr), and thermohydraulic (?sdr) is examined. spacer length (Ssdr) was changed from 0 mm to 300 in stages 100 during experiment. fixed parameters were relative distance Dd/Lv 0.67, width gw/Hr 0.87, rib height Hr/H 0.047, pitch Pr/H 1.7, angle an arc ?sdr 60°, diameter ratio Dj/Dhy 0.065, streamwise X/Dhy 1.72, spanwise Y/Dhy 0.82. Reynolds Re altered 3000 19,000. Nusdr fsdr JISTC with roughened absorber plate found be enhanced by 5.25 5.98 times as compared STC without roughness. optimal findings Nusdr, fsdr, ?sdr achieved at Ssdr = mm. maximum value obtained 2.9.
